Thomas Gibson’s character on “Criminal Minds” will be absent from at least one, possibly two episodes of the hit CBS drama after reportedly KICKING someone on the set of the show. Whatsmore, Deadline.com reports that on the receiving end of the assault is Executive Producer, Virgil Williams.
A few weeks ago, the 54-year-old actor was directing and acting in a scene for season 12 when he got into a dispute with Williams. The tension heightened, and Gibson kicked the EP in the leg.
The former Mr “Darma & Greg” gave a statement saying, “There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement. I regret that it occurred. We all want to work together as a team to make the best show possible. We always have and always will.” That’s about as close as people give as far as apologies go these days.
The exact suspension length is still unknown, but writing out a major character from what are likely already scripted episodes, is bound to leave cast and crew further annoyed with the temper tantruming actor.
