It’s hard to believe that Game of Thrones Season 5 ended back in June 2015, more than six months ago. Lucky for us, Season 6 is coming in April. To get us all hyped up for it, HBO released a teaser, of sorts, which basically gives us absolutely nothing to go on and instead forces us to relive (in extremely quick succession, I might add) what we went through last season, Jon Snow’s death in particular. I think we all know by now that Jon Snow’s not really dead, but how they’ll manage to work that one out and bring him back is anyone’s guess. As the final spoken line in the promo goes, “He has no idea what’s coming.” Or maybe it’s “They have no idea what’s coming.” I can’t remember because I watched it a full five minutes ago, but you get the drift.
One important thing to note is that Bran is coming back next season, which is… unfortunate, to say the least. Being spared his obnoxious presence was one of the best things about S5, so the fact that he’s coming back and his unexplained/bullshit powers of premonition are going to play a big part in upcoming events is more than a little eyeroll-worthy, in my book. But it is what it is.
Speaking of eyes, has Arya gone blind for good after stealing that Face and murdering Ser Meryn? Will Sansa and Reek make a swift getaway, or will that freak from Misfits who seems to be some kind of snow ninja catch up with them and further mutilate their genitals? Will Daenerys ever get any closer to Westeros? Will Cersei rise to greatness once again? (Yes, please!) Will Tyrion continue to be one of the best characters on the show? So many questions, so few answers.
