In fact, they let V Magazine publish this in their Pre-Spring issue. Gaga is the cover star and the guest editor and she took 16 different covers with “who have kept me and protected me over the years, because they’ve wanted me to survive.” Oh, whatever, Stefani — cut the crap.
Here’s what else she had to say about the shot:
“Since we first met, Taylor’s been painting and drawing all over me. Years ago, when we were secretly living in San Diego and crashing on the floor of a beach shack, we never wore shoes. He told me he wanted to make love to me on a canvas. And though he made many murals on my body in the wee, small hours of our stoked, gypsy mornings with our friends, for whatever reason we never got around to it.”
I don’t know about you, but I kind of just threw up in my mouth a little bit. I miss the old Gaga. The one who made catchy pop songs and was a little bit out there, but not that weird. Not the Gaga who shows up to awards shows in a giant egg and thinks she’s the Jesus Christ of the performance art world. If I thought any of it was genuine in any way, I’d probably be a lot more into it (or at least less averse to it), but I think we can all agree that her brand of “art” is a bunch of baloney, and the music isn’t even good anymore, so…
I don’t know, I guess whatever. It’s not like she’s really even relevant anymore, so if this is her last grab for fame, then let’s just let her have it.
