Earlier this month, Chris Martin said during an interview that he’s just “happy to be alive” following his split from Gwyneth Paltrow. That’s pretty rough, because even if he didn’t mean it to come out that way (and let’s be honest, you know he probably didn’t), it basically sounds like Gwyneth is some succubus who’ll rob you of the will to live. Someone must have pointed that out to Chris, as he’s tried to soften the blow in a new interview with Ryan Seacrest in which he says that he still cares about Gwyneth and they still have a relationship, albeit not a romantic one.
“Just because a romantic relationship ends, doesn’t mean that the other facets of your relationship have to end … or indeed, doesn’t mean they can’t get better,” he explained. Well, yes, I would assume it gets better if you’re unhappy being married to someone and then you’re no longer married. That’s a definite improvement.
Meanwhile, Gwyneth did a talk at the Fast Company Innovation Festival last weekend, where she apparently said the following about their relationship:
“At the time, I was like ‘Oh, my gosh.’ It was such a hard time personally, and then you have this added layer of all this criticism. You look back, you think, well, this is actually kind of a good thing to talk about, introducing [the idea that] you could break up in a way where you remain a family, even if you’re not in a couple.”
And that’s that, I suppose. For two people who are no longer together, they sure do like to talk about it a lot. It’s kind of a pain in the ass.
Oh.. .no. I’m not gonna letcha get away with it. Yes, I DO believe Goop is a Succubus who would rob me of my will to live had I had the stupidity to delve into her festering maw.
No thanks, I gave at the office.
Nope GOOP is a blood sucking parasite (my word for2day)
