Chris Martin has already been in several relationships since splitting from Gwyneth Paltrow last year, and good for him. He’s meeting other people, experiencing life without Goop, and he’s loving it. In fact, lately he’s been enjoying the company of Annabelle Wallis, and things seem to be going pretty well. So what’s it like being back on the dating scene and away from Gwyneth? Pretty fucking brilliant, actually – in fact, he’s just happy to be alive and to have survived being with her for so many years.
Talking on 2DayFM’s Rove & Sam show on Monday (via US Weekly) Chris admitted he was pretty depressed before he split from Gwyneth, but once they ended their relationship, things suddenly started looking up.
“A few years ago I was in a low place in my life and was feeling kind of down and confused. Some friends gave me a book called Man’s Search for Meaning, and a poem called The Guest House by an Afghanistani poet, teacher, and those two things started me off on this whole journey that’s ended up a few years later now where I just feel so happy to be alive.”
“That may sound a little simple but I suddenly feel very grateful for all these things in my life, I just feel happy to be alive and if it’s coming across then that’s because it’s real.”
Well, good for him. It is a big corny, and if being with Goop was so tough, you’d have thought they wouldn’t have lasted for so long, but who knows what really happened there. In any case, I like Chris and think he seems like a good guy, so whatever he’s doing now, at least he’s happy.
Goop drains the life out of everything she gets near.
Man, that bitch must’ve done a doozy on him if he’s ‘just happy to be alive’. I can only imagine how awful it must’ve been to be married to that harpie. I know she desperately wants to be seen as ‘real’ but it’s so fake and you can just see the pretension ooze out of her. She should just embrace the fact that she’s a snob and not try so hard to be relatable.
