Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have remained on curiously good terms (at least that’s how they’ve been playing it) since splitting up earlier this year. Their marriage is over, but somehow their friendship has remained outwardly intact, and good for them! But it seems like not everything is easy to take in stride, and Miranda took to Facebook last night to post some new lyrics, which almost read like a sad, drunk response to finding out that her ex-hubby is now sleeping with Gwen Stefani.
Basically, she posted a Facebook status that included a screenshot of a song she was presumably listening to – Lake Street Drive’s “Better Than” – and the lyrics, which hit a little too close to home.
“I could spend ages reading the news
I could spend days, singing the blues
But I turn up the tv light
Give up without a fight
Better than pretending to know what’s wrong and what’s right”
This song. This band. These lyrics. @lakestreetdive thanks @ape_lewis for turning me on to this
Oh man, girl. I know we could be reading into stuff, but I’m just gonna say that I know it’s gotta be pretty rough right now. Hang in there, Miranda. They won’t last long!

You can’t be “better than” whilst claiming to be “better than”.
