You may remember Hailee Steinfeld from her promising pre-teen beginnings in True Grit, or from her weird and unnecessary follow-up role in Pitch Perfect 2. What you may not know is that she’s now branching out into singing and is coming out with her own album. To kick things off, she stopped by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon last night to perform her debut single, “Love Myself”, and it seemed to go… okay?
I mean, it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever heard, but I don’t know, it all just seems like a bit of a mess, and something that Hailee did/a record label agreed to because why not? I’m not convinced, really, but it is pretty catchy and I could probably get into it, so I suppose I’ll just have to accept it and embrace it.
What do you think? Should Hailee move on to music full time or stick with acting?
Since when is having talent and being original a pre-requisite for female pop singers? The only requirement is looking sexay in as few clothes as possible.
