Ever since it was revealed publicly that Chris Brown fathered a child with a model he had a one night stand with, he’s decided to step up in the fatherhood department – at least somewhat – and be involved with his daughter Royalty’s life, which I will actually commend him for. Now he thinks he’s so fit for parenthood that he wants joint custody of the toddler, and he’ll do whatever it takes to make sure it happens, including keeping the women and drugs away from his upcoming tour.
From TMZ:
Sources close to Chris tell us he’s hired 5 new bodyguards to shadow him during his “One Hell of a Nite” tour. One of the guards will be eyeballing his money and his jewelry at all times — and there will be NO backstage access for anyone, unless they know Chris.
The problem is … he’s fighting for joint custody of Royalty and fears Nia Guzman will use any missteps against him when they meet in court in 2 weeks. We’re told Chris wants to make sure there are no more robberies or violent incidents.
He’s so serious about keeping things clean, he’s told his dancers and entourage they’ll be sent home if anyone acts out.
A leopard doesn’t change its spots, so I don’t for one second think Chris Brown has suddenly become a decent human being, but for the sake of giving him the benefit of the doubt, at least he’s trying? Nia Guzman, Royalty’s mother, wants full custody of their child and only monitored visits for Chris, who she says is an asshole who hangs out with criminals and does too many drugs. Fair enough – she’s spot on, there. The problem is that Nia is currently dating someone called King Ba, who’s a wanted felon for his lengthy criminal history with forgery.
Who knows what’ll happen, but Royalty needs to come first, and given what both of her parents get up to, it’s a bit scary to think about.
If Chris Brown received joint custody his child support payments would be drastically reduced, I wouldn’t usually suggest this as a singular motive, but it’s Chris Brown and he already tried to silence the mother with threats to stop paying support so…
