In case you missed it, there was some major drama last week when Miley Cyrus gave an interview to the New York Times in which she tried (and failed) to call Nicki Minaj out over the whole Taylor Swift fiasco. Miley has literally no idea what she’s talking about, but still felt the need to comment on the situation, saying “What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind.” Miley needs to basically shut the hell up forever, but she went on and on from there, basically calling Nicki a drama queen and claiming that she didn’t speak with “openness and love”, which… again, shut the hell up, Miley.
Anyhow, since Miley was hosting the VMAs last night and Nicki was performing/won a few awards, she took her time on stage as an opportunity to call Miley out for her bullshit.
A lot of people thought this whole thing was set up and completely fake, and maybe it was, but the online-only camera focused on Miley when Nicki spoke out tells another story, really:
Whether or not this was scripted remains to be seen, but I’m going to maintain hope that the universe loves us enough to give us this wonderful moment of Nicki snatching wigs that’s incredibly real and totally unplanned, because I need it in my life.
Thoughts?
Trash. Both of them.
My skin cleared up and all toxins left my body after Queen Nicki took Miley’s soul. Miley appropriates Black American culture, makes a mockery of it and her success rides on her dad’s coattails who crafted a music career for her, and I am so glad someone who worked as hard as Nicki called her out. I hope she shuts the fuck up forever on topics that aren’t weed because she clearly has no mental ability beyond talking about how much she loves smoking.
