Kathie Lee Gifford‘s long-time husband Frank Gifford has passed away at the age of 84. The former NY Giants Hall of Famer died suddenly on Sunday at their Connecticut home, according to an announcement made by Kathie Lee and the couple’s children. Frank is said to have died of natural causes, though it’s unknown if he had been suffering from any underlying health problems or anything.
From USA Today:
“It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and friend, Frank Gifford,” the family said in a statement.
“Frank died suddenly this beautiful Sunday morning of natural causes at his Connecticut home. We rejoice in the extraordinary life he was privileged to live, and we feel grateful and blessed to have been loved by such an amazing human being. We ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time and we thank you for your prayers.”
Frank and Kathie Lee have been married since 1986 and have two kids together, Cody and Cassidy. Frank had three other children from his first marriage, as well.
RIP. A great football player and a good sportscaster.
I know a lot of people hate her…but they really seemed to love each other. He screwed around, she forgave him and life went on. I feel bad for her…he seemed like a genuinely great guy.
