Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away last weekend at just 22, and while her death was not at all a surprise to those who have been following her tragic circumstances, it was slightly more shocking to hear that authorities were interested in pursuing a homicide case surrounding Bobbi’s death. To that end, an autopsy was performed on her body on Monday, and it was immediately revealed that there were no signs of foul play involved.
From TMZ:
There are no obvious signs someone tried to kill Bobbi Kristina … this according to the preliminary autopsy results.
According to the Fulton County Medical Examiner, the autopsy shows “no obvious underlying cause of death.” The Medical Examiner goes on to say, “no significant injuries were noted.”
Short story … this could help Nick Gordon, who has been under the police microscope from the get-go.
The report says there were no previously unknown medical conditions that could have rendered Bobbi Kristina unconscious in the bathtub.
But the Medical Examiner says he has subpoenaed medical records, presumably from the hospital, to determine if drug testing after the accident was relevant. Gordon has said both he and Bobbi Kristina had been doing drugs and she took too much.
The Medical Examiner says he will not determine a cause of death until he reviews the records.
Well, at least the case isn’t entirely closed. There are many ways to kill a person, and while Bobbi was an adult (just barely) and responsible for her own actions, she was also incredibly vulnerable and I believe preyed upon by Nick Gordon, who was incredibly abusive and greedy, to boot. Terrible combination.
I’ll be interested to see what further investigation brings about, though I doubt anything will ever come of it.
