Jon Hamm is easily one of my favorite actors and celebrity crushes. He’s just so damn dreamy, although he isn’t without his share of troubles; he entered rehab for alcohol abuse earlier this year, and may or may not have beaten a man in his college days. So, that’s something to think about if you’re looking to cruise for some Hamm, as the actor is now reportedly single, having broken up from his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt.
The couple have been together for 16 years. Sixteen years. But before you take a moment to mourn the broken union, keep in mind that this was first reported among Star magazine, so as you can imagine, a big ole grain of salt should be taken:
“The relationship just ran its course,” says a source close to the couple. In fact, the once inseparable duo haven’t been photographed together since January, before Jon entered a 30-day rehab program for alcohol abuse.
But it wasn’t the 44-year-old star’s addiction that brought on the breakup— it was Jon’s reluctance to start a family with the 45-year-old actress. “I don’t have a driving force to have a baby,” the actor has previously said. “That said, I’m in a committed relationship, and if it ever came up, I’m not ruling it out.”
However, sources say he did just that. “Jennifer realized that she and Jon don’t want the same things,” says the pal. “So they agreed that it was time to take a step back.”
If you want to know what I think, and this is SOLELY based on my opinion and some shady rumors, I think they’ve been broken up for a while now. It’s just been easier for them to pretend to be together, for whatever reason. I’ve heard that he’s not the most faithful dude anyway. But that’s all I’ll say, considering I have no real solid basis for any of this.
It takes 16 years to figger out you don’t want the same things? In any case at 45 it isnt so easy to make bebehs.
I’m only wishing this is true so that my dream of him and I running into each other and falling madly in love at first sight becomes a reality.
I don’s want kids, John…I’m just sayin’….call me.
