Harvey Weinstein was recently questioned by NYPD regarding groping a woman. It looked like charges may be filed against him, but nope, dude’s untouchable. Here’s more from TMZ:
A spokesman for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office says, “After analyzing the available evidence, including multiple interviews with both parties, a criminal charge is not supported.”
Weinstein was questioned by police in March after an Italian model accused the Hollywood mogul of touching her thigh and grabbing her breasts. She reported the alleged incident to cops immediately after it happened.
From the outset, Weinstein denied any wrongdoing.
Obviously, my feeling is that he totally did it and is getting away with it. Is that fair of me? Maybe not. I mean, it’s based purely on rumors that this guy is shady as hell and is a big fan of the “casting couch.”
I doubt this will do anything to his career. His rep released a statement about the ordeal, saying (via Daily News):
We are pleased this episode is behind us.
Oh, I bet. And I bet it really is behind them, too.
To be fully honest, I would watch the eff out of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode about this. But only if Danny Devito plays Weinstein.
