Cameron Diaz looks great – she’s fit, she seems healthy (you can’t tell this by looking at a person, but given the lifestyle she advocates, it points in that direction) and she’s happy to share her advice with the rest of us in a new interview with Cosmopolitan UK. Cameron’s approach to health and wellness is pretty simple: everything in moderation, basically. Oh, and make sure you exercise.
On exercise:
“You have to just do it. Once you commit and really put in the effort, your body goes, ‘Oh, it’s not OK to be without this.’ People say, ‘My body rejects exercise.’ No, it doesn’t. Your mind rejects exercise.”
On diet:
“Wellbeing is an equation. Remember, you don’t have to have the whole cake, you can have a piece. Don’t deprive yourself. Have fun. Just be self-aware. If your equation is 80% good, 20% bad most of the time, then a little movement toward the centre isn’t going to affect you much,” she says.
On social media:
“I think social media is a crazy-ass experiment on society. The way people use it to get validation from abunch of strangers is dangerous. What’s the point?”
True! To… well, all of the above? I feel like it’s sorta common sense to be like, “Hey, move your body sometimes instead of being a couch potato, and maybe don’t gorge yourself on an entire cake!” Also, social media is totally bizarre and people definitely get addicted to it. I’m addicted to Instagram but I’m really only there for dog pictures and food pictures, so…
She was Mary Jenson. Enough said. My favorite movie of all time. Ill love her forever for that dumb movie….
