Selena Gomez is always fighting the good fight, guys. Back in December, she mediated a fight between two of her fans who were apparently bullying each other, and now she’s back at it. Someone on Instagram is said to have left Selena a comment on one of her photos which told her to “burn in hell with cancer”, and Selena just couldn’t ignore it.
The original comment this person left is now deleted, as is the poster’s entire account, but Selena made sure to screencap her own response to the troll in question. Here’s what she captioned it with: “Honestly, I don’t speak up much because it’s simply *always* taken out of context. But I don’t take bullying well. I have seen too much to not say anything.”
I love how condescending her whole comment is. Selena clearly thinks she’s got her shit together and knows what she’s talking about, but we all know that’s complete and utter bullshit. Try to school someone on being a hot mess when you get your own life on track. Why don’t you lecture your little boyfriend on how to treat people decently?
What do you guys think? Is it worth even responding to Internet trolls when you’re a celebrity, or are you just giving them more attention?
I don’t personally believe in responding to trolls–not on a regular basis, at least.
But I’m not sure of “condescending” is the right word here, if only because Selena Gomez is The Greatest Musician In The History Of Humanity so it’s easy to come across as condescending when you’re peerless.
As for Justin Bieber…I certainly hope that she schools him on his behavior. But I have *no* moral high ground when it comes to hooking up with an attractive younger guy whose behavior is obnoxious and whom everyone else dislikes.
“Greatest Musician In The History Of Humanity”? Just making that comment voids your opinion, it is so ludicrous. Your fanboy is showing, and it is not attractive.
I agree with the statement, in the article, about Selena getting her own act together, before she tries to tell anyone else how to run their lives.
As far as “schooling” Bieber, if she had any real influence on him, he wouldn’t keep breaking up with her.
Love the dress, first of all, but that’s it. Doesn’t this little gum-cracker have any hobbies or pets or paint-by-number sets around the house? It’s stupid and embarrassing to hold yourself up as the grand POO-Bah of all things instructional to life. Go stitch it on a throw pillow, you snotty little twat!
I would label her a b#tch after reading her comment. A dumb one at that. She’s trying to be so perfectly centered and appear to have compassion and love but the energy that comes off that comment is dripping with daggers. It’s an indirect “F U” laced with honey. Ewwwwww! Yuck.
People constantly post on her and bieber s stuff that their fans should die of cancer. I see it all the time. She is a bright beautiful and talented women. I encourage her to remain positive and strong. Don’t let the haters get to you. They’re jealous. Thanks for inspiring me with your music and i love your style. God bless ?
What they do to them is morally wrong. Just let them work without hate and harassment then they probably wouldn’t have to turn to drugs or alcohol. Or have eating disorders bc they’re called fat on a daily basis. I wish people could walk in their shoes for a day. I bet you would speak to these people differently.
And fyi she went to rehab and is trying to get better with the help and support of family and friends
