Beyoncé and Jay-Z are currently touring across America as part of their On The Run tour, but this is going on amidst (more) reports that Jay cheated on her. Some say it was with Rachel Roy, others say it was with women that aren’t really anyone of note, but the whole Knowles/Carter camp has kept quiet on this… until now?
During a show in Ohio last weekend, Bey sang one of her unreleased songs called ‘Resentment’, which is a big fan favourite but people outside the Beyhive won’t really know. However, she changed the lyrics in a way that made a lot of people think she might just be ready to admit that her husband was unfaithful…
ORIGINAL LYRICS:
I’ll always remember feeling like I was no good / Like I couldn’t do it for you like your mistress could
Been ridin’ with you for six years […] I gotta look at her in her eyes and see she’s had half of me.
NEW LYRICS:
I’ll always remember feeling like I was no good / Like I couldn’t do it for you like that wack bitch could
Been ridin’ with you for twelve years […] I gotta look at her in her eyes and see she’s had half of me. She ain’t even half of me. That bitch will never be.
Huh. Jay-Z and Beyoncé have been together for 12 years now, so that part seems to fit. However, if the song was already about a man cheating on his wife, why did the lyrics even need to be changed? The song already applies. I suppose the “bitch” line makes it all a little more personal and heated, but I don’t think we’ll ever know what truly happened… unless she serves him with divorce papers on the final night of the tour or something.
Video of the performance is here:
What is this picture with the masks and the bra?! GET THE FUCK OUT
They have alter egos called Bonnie & Clyde, it’s one of their songs too as far as I know. Hence the balaclavas and matching clothes.
Until Jay Z admits it it never happened no matter how many lyrics she sings or times her sister bitch slaps him
