Oh man, this is messed up. Michael Jace, who is best known for his role as a police officer on the FX drama The Shield, has formally been charged with his wife’s murder. It was only a matter of time, of course – he shot April Jace multiple times on Monday and phoned the police to confess to his crimes moments after. He also remained on the scene until officers arrived. What’s even more messed up is that the couple’s two young children were apparently at home and may have watched their mother be killed by their father.
Jace is being held on $2 million bail and will appear in court for the first time on Thursday. He could be sentenced to 50 years in prison if convicted – and considering the fact that he’s admitted what he’s done, I’d say that’s likely.
Also, Jace apparently has a history of domestic violence. It was the cause of his divorce from his previous wife, according to The Los Angeles Times, and has been a bit of a loose cannon for a while now. No idea whether the gun he used to kill April was legal or not, but if it was… seriously, people. Gun laws.
Really sad story all around.
Did you just complain about gun laws? You’re a fucking moron. Criminals will always find a gun or other weapon to kill people. Fucking idiot.
Do you honestly believe this would not have happened if our country had more stringent gun laws? If it had not been a gun, it would have been a knife. Are we going to prohibit knives as well? If not a knife, it would have been a baseball bat. Are we going to prohibit baseball bats as well? You are so beyond misinformed and moronic.
