Ed Sheeran‘s debut album was MASSIVELY successful – and for good reason. It was really amazing, and the sales proved it. So, now that that’s out of the way, how will is sophomore record do? Eh, I’m not so sure. The first single from it, ‘Sing’, is… interesting and I’m not quite sure what I think about it.
‘Sing’ was produced by Pharrell and has a very Justin Timberlake vibe to it throughout. And by “vibe”, I mean it could literally be a Justin Timberlake song. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. Ed has always had that little percussive side to his sound and that’s great, but it’s difficult to sort through this one on first listen.
What do you think of ‘Sing’?
what a goofy lookin’ pop star. if the boys club that is THEE INDUSTRY lets him in for real, i will be surprised.
Just showing his range and exploring new styles. This is what musicians do throughout their careers as opposed to most recycled pop crap.
