Kate Winslet was already a parent to 13-year-old daughter Mia and 9-year-old son Joe before she hooked up with Ned Rocknroll and they decided to make shit legit and get married. Then she ended up pregnant and just last week gave birth to their son, Bear. Turns out, she wasn’t really planning on the new baby. Oops!
From The Hollywood Reporter:
“It’s been very busy, but thankfully I’ve had some time to rest. I haven’t been pregnant in 10 years. My daughter is turning 13, and my son will be 10.
“It’s funny – I really was at a point where I was certain I wasn’t having any more kids. Life is very strange that way, isn’t it?”
Now, don’t get your panties in a twist, guys – I’m not saying Kate Winslet doesn’t love her son or want him, just that it was probably a shocker when that EPT test turned blue or got a cross or whatever the hell happens with pregnancy tests (not my forte). However, I have to wonder why some women don’t just… you know… take birth control? Use preventative methods? It’s nearly 2014, ladies. Keep up.
Also, I know women do it all the time, but I cannot imagine having my youngest be ten years old and then thinking, “Huh, this would be fun to start ALL OVER AGAIN!” Hell to the no.
First, she’s married so if she chooses to forgo BC then she’s perfectly within her depth. You see she doesn’t seem to mind (I’m thinking the writer of this article should follow suit).
Secondly, most BC methods are harmful to your body. Sounds like Ms. Kate is intelligent enough to know what she does or does not need.
And lastly, WTF do you care? You don’t have to raise them, she probably could financially support you plus ten of yours (thankfully, as according to you, that won’t happen). You sound as if you have a personal problem with this woman, doing things the right way, having a child within HER marriage. Chile, move on.
Are you for real right now? First, she’s married so if she chooses to forgo BC then she’s perfectly within her depth. You see she doesn’t seem to mind (I’m thinking the writer of this article should follow suit).

LOL
I’m guessing she does use something and that was part of the surprise. It happens.
As someone who is 36 weeks pregnant with a honeymoon baby that definitely was not planned, I can say that you can use dual methods of birth control, and still fall pregnant. And yes, we both know how to use them correctly, and have been for the five years we have been together. There’s a reason no method is 100% accutate (unless you would rather us all restrain from sex altogether if we aren’t actively planning and trying for a baby, rather run the risk…?)
