George Clooney is the poster child for bachelorhood. Sure, he’s had some “long term” relationships, but everyone has always known that he would never, ever tie the knot. It’s like he’s allergic to weddings. He was married to someone called Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993 but swore off marriage after then. Damn, dude, was it that bad?
In any case, his aversion to locking shit down via legal documents has long been part of the Clooney lure, and it’s almost an endearing part of his personality at this point (for those who aren’t dating him, I suppose). But George has still got heart and says that he just hasn’t met the greatest love of his life yet. What will happen when he does? Well, they’ll probably date for a couple of years until she decides she DOES want to get married (even though she said she was totally fine with not tying the knot when the relationship started) and that she wants kids (which he doesn’t) and it’ll all go to shit and then he’ll find someone new.
What, too cynical?
I bet you’re wondering what George’s ideal woman is like, too, eh? Here’s what he told W Magazine:
“When I was a kid, I was in love with Audrey Hepburn. I watched Roman Holiday when I was 11, and I thought she was as elegant as anything I’d ever seen. And I fell madly in love with her.
“I also always loved Grace Kelly. I mean, when she comes out of the water in To Catch a Thief, I thought, ‘That’s the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen’.”
Well, there you go, women. Just look like an old Hollywood actress and George Clooney might fall madly in love with you!
Side note: What in Georges Seurat hell is that picture? AWFUL.
