Reed had a brilliant solo career after being in The Velvet Underground, a band he formed with musician John Cale that collaborated with Andy Warhol.
Reports aren't yet confirmed as to what Reed died of. Recently he was hospitalized for dehydration.
He was a big fan of Kanye's latest album.
Rest in peace, Mr. Reed, on the wild side.

Miley Cyrus' little sister Noah -- 13-years-old -- was spotted by TMZ driving a car (photo above). The legal driving age in California is 15, with a permit. This wouldn't be the first age inappropriate thing Noah Cyrus has ever done.
To be fair to the Cyrus family (which begs the question, "why???") they were probably only driving on their property. Except...I don't know...looking at the photo, it could appear that they're driving around their neighborhood or street, which is def illegal.

Julianne Hough dressed up as the character "Crazy Eyes" from the hit show Orange Is the New Black. Cool! The problem is that the actress who plays Crazy Eyes is black, and Ms. Hough isn't, and she thought it would be appropriate to don blackface (above). Not cool! I think it's a great to idea to get a group together and go as the OItNB characters, but come on, painting your face for a darker skin color is never a good idea. It's just not. Especially if you're a public figure.

Sad news today. Marcia Wallace, Simpsons superstar, voice of teacher Edna Krabappel, has died today. Could this mean that Krabappel is The Simpsons character who dies? Or does this mean they'll have to write an entirely separate character out of the show?
USA Today reports that Wallace died at 70 years old. She won an Emmy for her Simpsons role in the '90s. Her Edna laugh ("HA!") will be missed.

She was beloved by all at The Simpsons and we intend to retire her irreplaceable character....
Ohh man. Julianne Hough did blackface as part of her Halloween costume when she dressed up as "Crazy Eyes" (Uzo Aduba) from Orange Is the New Black. The costume idea is a good one -- it's creative -- but the execution (the makeup) is just so bad and for so many different reasons.
The thing is, Julianne Hough looks nothing like actress Uzo Aduba (below) to begin with, so making her face dark doesn't help the costume at all. I don't know why she thought it was a necessary choice.
