As I reported yesterday, two of Cory Monteith's final projects before his untimely death will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival next month - All the Wrong Reasons and McCanick, the latter of which sees him playing a drug addict who's down on his luck. Considering Monteith's own struggle with an addiction, that's going to be a tough one, for sure.
The trailer for McCanick hit the Internet on Wednesday, and here it is for you to watch. It's a bit eerie to see him, knowing that he's no longer alive. I guess that's probably what people felt about Heath Ledger after his passing. Admittedly, this movie doesn't look all that interesting to me, but it could turn out to be pretty good. He's got a new album coming up soon called 3rdEyeGirl (not sure about that title) and some tracks have been popping online from it recently. The latest to hit the internet is a track called 'Groovy Potential', which is so Prince it hurts. In a good way, of course.
Not sure if this is an upgrade to 'Breakfast Can Wait', but it's pretty solid. Prince has done some great songs in his time, and even his average shit is better than most artists' best stuff. It certainly beats out Lady GaGa's 'Applause' - not that that's a hard one.
