Lana Del Rey has been walking around living her life in weird pants and writing Lady GaGa diss tracks, but she’s also about to release a short film entitled Tropico. Hang on to your hats, ladies and gents, because this isn’t just a piece of art… it’s also her “farewell project”, whatever that means. Is she quitting music? Is she going to buy a farm in Nebraska where she’ll raise sheep and grow her own crops, never to be seen again? Probably not, but speculation is so fun!
Here’s what Lana tweeted about Tropico:
Looking forward to seeing you for the farewell project. I adore you and thank you for inspiring me. TROPICO pic.twitter.com/XaoqNTg69F

Most likely she’s just bidding “farewell” to her Born to Die album. Seriously, she’s been riding the crest of that wave for too damn long. Time for new music, Lana Del Rey. Get with it! And that’s me saying that as not a massive Lana Del Rey fan. Sorry, but a remix of ‘Summertime Sadness’ does not new material make. That remix is pretty good, though.
