Lea Michele, in some weird timing, is Marie Claire Mexico‘s August cover girl. In her interview with the magazine, she raved about her boyfriend Cory Monteith, who died about 1 month after the interview took place. Of Monteith, she told the magazine (via Daily News),
It’s more interesting having a relationship with someone you work with because we get more attention because we play boyfriend and girlfriend on the show and we are also in real life […] he is the best person I know, he has made my life so incredible, and I am so thankful for him and not only to have him as a partner but also as a co-worker. […] It is important to have someone that supports you and encourage you, someone that makes you feel that you are unstoppable, that you can do anything in the world because you have him.
Oh God. That is so sad. It seems no one really had any idea that the Glee star would soon die of a drug overdose. Ariadne Grant, the Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire Mexico and Latin America recalls meeting Cory Monteith on the day of the cover shoot:
Cory showed up almost at the end of the session, she [Lea] was very happy about him being there. (He was) in great spirits and was very nice to everybody there; he even took pictures with whoever asked for it. They were both very nice and obviously happy and in love, we are very disrupted by the unfortunate and untimely events. Our thoughts are with Lea.
Glee is going to handle Monteith’s death by making an episode that will focus on the death of his character. Then they’re going to take a hiatus for a bit.
