… Because between you and me (and I am a pretty big Third Eye Blind fan), there’s this ongoing joke that Third Eye Blind fans are crazy and don’t know the value of good music, but ah. No. That’s just not entirely accurate, and here’s some proof to show you that the guys (specifically Stephan Jenkins, 3EB’s lead singer and guitarist) of Third Eye Blind aren’t just 90’s-00’s flashes in the pan—they’re actually doing something with their fame, and it’s all for a good cause.
See, there’s this website called Luminary Lane, where you can purchase all sorts of Third Eye Blind memorabilia and net proceeds go to a really, really good cause—the fight against poverty. From their site at Luminary Lane:
We are a community that is passionate about eliminating poverty … . We are advocates, investors, activists, companies and individuals. We find, fund and partner with a group of very worthy organizations. We are changing the lives of families and individuals in need.We find the best organizations serving low-income families … and give them the dollars and, more importantly, the support they need to realize their full potential so that they can help their clients do the same.We are unapologetically focused on impact because getting results means breaking the cycle of poverty for good. Our groups deserve a funding model that respects their expertise, and our donors deserve a return on their philanthropic investments.
Go and do something about this, please.
Last, do I really need to remind you of what an integral part Third Eye Blind played in my high school and post-adolescent years? I do? Because I’ve really got no problem with that. Here you go, fool:
And last, pretty much one of my favorite songs of all time:
Seriously, how is this even a question?
THIS IS STOLEN WORK!!! YOU WILL BE SUED!!!
