From Radar:
There’s no love lost between Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart, as the Hunger Games actress aims a dig at her troubled rival, telling pals she would never cheat with a married man, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
The 22-year-old Oscar nominated starlet, who is soon to reprise her role as the fearless Katniss Everdeen in the smash hit sci-fi film, is often hit on by older, married movie directors.
However, unlike some, she claims that she definitely won’t ever be tempted to stray from her British actor boyfriend Nicholas Hoult.
“Jennifer has a healthy rivalry with Kristen, but she thinks that the cheating scandal she got caught up in could have been avoided,” a source close to Lawrence revealed.
“Recently, although she didn’t say Kristen’s name directly, she couldn’t resist having a subtle dig at her rival. She told a group of friends that she would never two-time Nicholas. Jennifer then went on to say that she has received attention from many older men, especially powerful movie directors in the past, and would never want to jeopardize her career by getting involved with a married man. She was clearly referring to Kristen’s liaison with Rupert,” the source said.
As RadarOnline.com previously reported, the bitter rivals were recently embroiled in a battle for the lead role in the big screen adaptation of William Styron’s novel, Lie Down in Darkness.
This time, it was Kristen that was rubbing her hands with glee as she beat her nemesis to the part. It was much needed relief for the 22-year-old actress after suffering the fallout for her affair with married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
“Kristen is obviously down about what happened with her and Robert Pattinson, but she was thrilled when she found out she beat Jennifer Lawrence to a movie role,” a source told RadarOnline.com. “She is insanely jealous of Jennifer, not just because she feels The Hunger Gameshas stolen some of Twilight’s thunder, but because everyone was talking about her as such a beautiful actress. Kristen has never been comfortable in her own skin and feels threatened by Jennifer’s good looks. And the thing with Jennifer is, she isn’t just attractive, she’s a talented actor. Jennifer’s a threat to Kristen, she’s only a year younger, so chances are they will continue to battle it out for the same movie roles. The pair of them are very competitive too; they won’t give up any future roles without a fight,” the source said.
I just don’t know, friends. There’s definitely a way to say this kind of thing, the “I would never cheat on my boyfriend” thing, that would be catty, but it all depends on the inflection, you know? Like, Jennifer could have been like “ugh, I would never cheat on my boyfriend, and I would never destroy my entire career by letting some old married asshole go down on me in public. How stupid.” That would have been catty. But she could be just gossiping with her friends after seeing the news on TV or seeing it on the cover of a magazine, you know? She could have just been discussing her own views without “taking digs” or whatever. And I definitely love Jennifer Lawrence enough to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Either way, can you even believe that we have to wait a whole entire year AND THEN SOME to see Catching Fire?
saying this sort of thing to friends, i get. but it makes me nervous when celebs start making such definitive statements to the press, or in public. especially when they are so young. i know that people think they could never cheat, lie, steal, etc, but youth is a tumultuous and fluid time…id be careful to not say things that *might* come back and bite you.
Nah, I don’t buy it. The media are all too keen to make up female rivalry stories. I really don’t think Jennifer Lawrence made such catty, out-of-order remarks. Remember when they both came out to say the media were making up lies about some sort of feud, and they’d never even met? Yeah, this is it, all over gain. Not blaming you, Emily (or Sarah), I know you don’t make up crap like that, but I know most gossip media are addicted to catty women bullshit.
And yeah I can’t believe we have to wait so long for Catching Fire, and I may explode if they don’t announce who the fuck is going to play Finnick.
I think this Radar report is HORSESHIT (LOL)!….Radar has been trying to pit these two women against each other for what seems like forever, and the reports are then debunked. The report then fades away. It also seems to me that whenever Jennifer Lawrence has other legit news reported, like landing a coveted role, or, earning a big pay raise Radar comes out with some bullshit gossipy report like, the next day….as if in attempt to distract from the good news. Radar has quite possibly the worst reputation….so it’s never succesful in trying to spread rumors and, Jennifer Lawrence conversely, has an excellent reputation in Hollywood which is also why no ever buys their crappy reports.
