And do you want to know what Katie said in a recent interview with Elle? Because if hindsight is 20/20, and Katie knew this divorce thing was coming up sooner rather than later, then she kind of let the cat out of the bag and we didn’t even realize. From Elle:
“I’m starting to come into my own. It’s like a new phase.”
And when asked about her identity later on in the interview as Mrs. Tom Cruise, she had this to say:
“He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years. I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that.”
Dig that Tom is fifty, and not thirty? Or dig that Tom Cruise has really only been “Tom Cruise” since twenty? Because back then he was going by something totally ridick, like Tommy Mapother or something, right?
I don’t know, guys. I think that interview, and these photos of a very smiley Katie Holmes eating ice cream like she just doesn’t care says a lot about the condition of the couple’s marriage. I also think it says a lot about what we’re going to see from Katie Holmes in the coming months, and I am not even going to pretend that I’m disinterested or that I’d rather write about Kim Kardashian having dirty, pee-filled sex with Kanye West every single day—I am all over this Katie Holmes business. ALL OVER IT.
