Do you know who this is? Like, without cheating? Her hair’s not so curly these days, and she’s come a long way from being a child star. She sings, and she’s pretty good at it, too.
Check out the celebrity after the jump, and find out more about her shotgun wedding to a long-term friend.
You got it – it’s Alisan Porter of Curly Sue fame.
From People:
Alisan Porter, a singer-songwriter and actress – best known as the star of 1991’s Curly Sue, directed by the late John Hughes, alongside Jim Belushi and Kelly Lynch – tied the knot Saturday with husband Brian Autenrieth, PEOPLE exclusively confirms.
“We’ve been friends for 13 years and it’s the most incredible feeling to know you’re marrying your best friend,” Porter tells PEOPLE.
Porter, 30, and Autenrieth, 33, exchanged vows at Diablo Dormido, a historic California ranch nestled in the Santa Monica mountains, in front of 100 guests.
The bride wore a custom vintage-inspired R-Mine lace dress and bridesmaids wore The Alisan dress, custom created for the occasion by Shareen Vintage.
A reception and dinner followed. The bride and groom danced their first dance to Frank Sinatra’s “The Second Time Around,” very fitting for the pair, who first dated when Porter was 18 but went their separate ways before reuniting.
The couple, are also expecting their first child together, a boy, in July.
Porter, who appeared on Broadway in Footloose and A Chorus Line, currently lives in Los Angeles.
Oh, man. I love that these two dated at eighteen and now they’re together again after all these years. I won’t lie – I frigging hated the movie Curly Sue (I know; how could you hate something so cute blah blah blah, but it was because I was a whole eight years old when the movie came out and it was being played at every single frigging sleepover I attended that year, so naturally, one gets rather sick of something they’re subjected to over and over and over again, especially if it wasn’t that good the first go-round), but girlfriend here looks amazing. Isn’t it so nice when child stars turn out OK?
