Here’s another award ceremony that you’ve all been waiting for! Don’t you just love this time of year – that special time when you get to completely snark out on what stars are wearing (because really, it’s a damned awards show and not a walk on Sunset Boulevard) and watch them fawn all over one another and kiss each other’s ass? It’s almost magical, friends. Don’t forget to watch the above clip – it’s chock-full of a lot of special SAG moments, including the Scorsese drinking game, the Help speeches, and a special appearance by Betty White, that old cad.
Here’s the complete list of both nominations and winners!

So I guess none of the winners were really all that surprising this year, huh? With the obvious exception of The Help massacring every other movie, including those of Brad Pitt and George Clooney? Steve Buscemi has won for Boardwalk Empire for at least two years running now, and Modern Family takes the cake almost every time; plus you have Alec Baldwin, who just won’t go away – not that I mind, as he practically makes 30 Rock what it is.
All in all a decent night, and I’m stoked that The Help took as many awards home as it did. The book was phenomenal and the movie absolutely, absolutely did it justice. Congrats, ladies and gents!
I don’t really understand the point of all these awards shows. Don’t get me wrong, I like watching them and all, but about half of these winners are the same people who won at the Golden Globes. Do they really need *another* opportunity to congratulate themselves on being rich, attractive, and talented?
isn’t there a best supporting actor and actress in a TV series award?
I.E. Jennifer Carpenter and Aaron Paul????
I thought John Lithgow won such an award for Dexter… Ah! It was probably an other award that offerss such categories….
