Oh snap. You got it. It’s Oprah.
Media Takeout reports exclusively that Oprah was selected as Beyonce and Jay-Z’s baby’s godmother, while long-time friend of Jay-Z Tyran Smith was chosen as Blue Ivy’s godfather. No wasting time there in choosing suitable godparents. I mean, why not President and Michelle Obama? Why not Kate Middleton and Prince Harry? They just had to go full-gusto and choose one of the other most powerful people in the world to spiritually guide their little Blue Ivy? Alright then. Roll with it.
On a side note, this is something I’ve actually been wanting to talk about. I watched The Color Purple the other night for the 10,482nd time in my life, and it fully dawned on me that Oprah is a really good actress. She was fabulous in that movie. Why did she not do more in film? Why do the whole talk show-humanitarian-entrepreneur thing and completely bypass everything else when it was so clearly evident that she had a whole cornucopia of semi-untapped talent just waiting to overflow into the rest of the entertainment business? Was it because of the whole padlocked-kitchen thing? Was that too much of a distraction? Or did she just really, really enjoy being able to interview Tom Cruise (and replace set couches) time and time again? I don’t get it, guys. Oprah’s talents are so varied, and it’s hard to comprehend that she wouldn’t tap further into them for the greater good of the general public.
I don’t know. I guess that’s all I’ve got to say about Oprah, and Beyonce and Jay-Z’s kid. And The Color Purple – I do love that movie.
Haha, step aside Suri! Here comes Baby Blue
It is their business. One would think she would have had her own sister, but then she is not famous. They seem over the top with their stardom, esp over the hospital stay and not allowing other parents access to their new babies, just because she was in the hospital. Buy your own Super Star hospital then. Best wishes to Blue Ivy though. Her parents need to realize that while they are rich, they are just entertainers and not above others.
Makes no difference to me. Big deal as long as Blue Ivy turns out good and is not pressured into fame and is grounded as she gets older and surrounds herself with the right people. Soo what.
Agree with their celebrity obsession. Perhaps somebody should actually explain what a godmother is. It is not who gets linked to the kid for publicity purposes; it is not even the person to take over should the parents die. (that would be a guardian). The godmother is supposedly the one to take over the religious upbringing of the child should something happen. How would that qualify Oprah over everyone else, including family? Oh, forgot, she’s Saint Oprah, right? Whole thing is b.s.
I feel sorry for this child with parents who think just because they have money, they can stop other parents from seeing their new borns, now how do you think these fools would have felt if they had been stopped from seeing their child. They need to live in the real world and get off their high horses and get down to the level they are. They need a reality check as this world has billions of people in it and to me they are the same as the tramp on the street corner, only difference is that they have money. This life is all about money but you cannot take it with you when you go and furthermore beauty is inside and out and they have no inner beauty and i am afraid you cannot buy that,so to me they are nothing. She should take her baby to Africa with no money and see how she feels then she would soon be on her knees, she could never walk in those peoples shoes.NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS.
HEY YOU GUYS WITH ALL THE COMMENTS, STOP HATING!!!!! Does anyone tell you how to handle your children or who you want to choose as godparents or not. They have the right to choose who they want.
