Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter play siblings on TV.
So people were honestly a little skeeved back in 2008 when the couple ran away together and eloped. And that whole thing was very, “You guys! They aren’t actually Luke and Leia,” and anyway, I’ve always thought Dexter and his sister make an oddly good-looking couple. Don’t they?
Then, the drama. Is Julia Stiles some creep-o homewrecker? The world will never know.
We do know, however, that the Dexter costars are splitsville, finito, dunzo.
OR ARE THEY?!?!?! Page Six with the scoop:
It appears that “Dexter” stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, who finalized their divorce in December, might be taking a second shot at love.
On Tuesday night, Hall and Carpenter—who play siblings on their Showtime TV series, but fell in love on set and eloped in 2008—were spotted at Beverly Hill’s Peninsula Hotel, Radar reports. The next morning, the pair was photographed getting coffee together, meaning that the date could have turned into a sleepover.
“Michael and Jennifer were seated at a dimly lit corner table, sipping wine,” a witness said. “It was a very romantic setting and definitely looked like a date.”
The source says that the two were very affectionate with each other.
“When Jennifer got up to use the ladies, Michael squeezed her hand, looked up at her and she smiled. And when she got back, they held hands on the table for a bit,” the source says. “At one point, Michael leaned across the table and he and Jennifer kissed — a make-out kind of kiss, not a friendly one. They both looked really happy.”
The real reason I’m covering this is, I get so tired of breakup stories. Everyone’s always breaking up! Plus I adore these kids. You guys! Michael C. Hall might really be dating his ex-wife! I’m so excited.

But would you say the same thing had it been Amy Spanger?
