Katherine Heigl Sort of Admits That She’s a Suck Mom

In a recent interview with People magazine, Katherine Heigl states that she’s finally “ready” to be a mom.  Her adopted daughter has only been in her life less than six months, but she’s come to the realization that, uh, family should come first. She and her husband, Josh Kelley, adopted their daughter this past September from South Korea, when the child was only an infant.

This comes at an interesting time, with those rumors regarding the end of her stint on Grey’s Anatomy.  Who knows, some might even speculate that no one wants to work with the woman who’s rumored to be a shit on set and no networks are willing to pick her — or any of her potential characters — up.

Congratulations, Katherine, on your startling revelation that family should always — always — come first.  Now you’re only half the asshat I thought you were.

  • You probably should have titled this post “Here’s a Recent Picture of Katherine Heigl with Dark Hair. I Hate Her.,” because that title’s essentially the gist of this post, while Katherine Heigl intimates nothing about being a “Suck Mom” in the sourced People article.
    Katherine Heigl is a new, first-time mom who took three months maternity leave to be with her new child, full-time; she really appreciated that time and wants to put a greater focus of her life on her family life. That sounds like something from a typical working, loving mother’s wish list — though her use of “more of a mom” could have been less awkwardly phrased (ditto your use of “Suck Mom”).

  • She’s prettier with blonde hair.. and most likely going to be a better mom than most in Hollywood., having adopted first and chose a very needy child.

  • I don’t understand why people seem to hate her so much. I like her, and I think she’s nice. I don’t think she’s done a bad job as mom. I agree 100% with “skeelo”.
