Kate Gosselin has officially joned the list of women that will be filling in for Elisabeth Hasselbeck on The View while she finishes out her maternity leave early this fall. Gosselin and her recently improved hairdo will be sitting in with Joy, Sheri and Whoopi on September 14th and 15th (if the show’s format has not changed, she’ll be there on Monday for the day of Hot Topics, which is my favorite hour of television all week), in part to promote the new season of Jon and Kate Plus 8.
While it doesn’t seem like there will be much for Kate to dish on that we haven’t heard before, I am more interested to hear her opinion on topics of the day than any of the other guests they have lined up to fill in. Meghan McCain, well, I find her a little bit difficult to take seriously and La Toya Jackson is only interesting if she’s willing to dish on Michael and the rest of her family. And just throwing it out there Bill Gedde, producer of The View: I am totally available. I’m wide-open for you, Bill. I can be there in like, twenty minutes.
I hate it when celebrities do that fake – show your teeth but look dead in the eyes – smile. Just don’t smile. It looks so much better.
I don’t think she looks dead in the eyes at all. I think Kate actually looks nice in this picture.
This was right after her Today Show interview and she was feeling pretty low. I do believe that the smile is forced, but I don’t think that means she looks unattractive. I agree that she looks good here.
Don’t get me wrong, she does look great lately. I think all of America knows what she is currently going through, so if you are feeling low and don’t want to smile, we get it. I personally just find forced, show your teeth but not really smiling with your mouth or eyes, creepy. If she feels like she must smile for the cameras, a small smile is lovely and probably a lot more flattering.

Naw, i gotta agree with Pict13. that is a forced, fake smile. then again, i looked like that after 1 hour of wedding photos (too many photos), she’s been doing it for longer than that….

Oy vey! Whose brilliant idea was it to let her sit in on the View?? That show is sinking faster than the Titanic. ( I bet Whoopi will have a tough time biting her tongue those two days.)

If you had cameras after you 24/7 i bet they would come up with some photos we could make fun of.
