As TLC prepares to air the new episode of Jon & Kate on Monday, the talk shows and the morning shows are scrambling to turn the excitement into ratings, and, as such, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Jodi are back on TV to complain. This time, though, they’re very clear about blaming TLC rather than Kate or Jon. They say they’re on TV “for the children,” and they want a politician “with a heart for children” to step up and introduce legislation to prevent the kids from being filmed so often.
I’m kind of bored of all this Jodi and Kevin nonsense. These kids are just fine — as fine as any young children in the middle of their parents’ divorce can be. Both their parents love them and spend time with them, and they have opportunities in life they never would have had if it weren’t for the show’s success. What do you guys think? Are Jodi and Kevin doing this for the kids, or are they just trying to reclaim the spotlight they lost when Kate kicked them off the show?
Jodi & Kevin are disgusting. If they cared so much, why didn’t they speak up when they were cashing in as well. She is gross, he seems like a worm.

I wonder how much The Today Show payed them (Jodie & Kevin) to show up. LOL I wonder what the price is to continue making Jon and Kate news worhty and perpetuating this baloney over and over again. I’m on the fence in regards to these children being filmed, however, it is in my opinion that Jodi and Keven have a selfish angle in all of this.
I think they are all nuts and they all want their 15 minutes of fame. I’m not sure I agree about the kids being okay. I think the twins are definitely damaged by all the attention and that it could have a lasting impact on their personalities. The little ones are still oblivious but if the filming goes on into their school years – they could be very very fucked up adults. I think the whole spectacle of this kind of reality tv is unhealthy for kids anyway and it should just go away. I am sick to death of the Duggers and Gosselins and the Octomom and that other seemingly normal family with the gazillion kids. I have 8 cats. Why doesn’t someone come do a reality show in my home!?! I could certainly use the free litter and kitty chow!

These two are so suspect. I just think all of the adults involved are attracted to what comes from the media attention and the show’s money and is running towards it in their own ways. I think Kate is pursuing her the kids’ futures economically while creating an image for herself, John is running towards all of the fun that comes from being a faux celeb, these two are looking for an angle to get some position or thing going where they can look good but still reap rewards. It’s all basically what would have happened to this family if they had won the lotto in my opinion in a nutshell.

well, they’re not quite like other kids. other kids don’t have their lives taped while their parents are divorcing and their parents’ infidelities are not splashed all over the tabloids. i feel bad for the kids.
They are venting because Kate dumped them from the show, AND her childrens’ lives. That’s where the negativity started in the marriage and the rest of the family has been dragged along for the ride. Oh yeah, the kids ride for free.
I think the brother and SIL are cashing in any way they can since they’ve been kicked off the gravy train. I would bet money they’ll have a book come out.
The kids look happy, and unfortunately, life in front of a camera is their “normal”. If not for TLC, this family of 10 would probably still be living in a home too small for them, never being able to afford a vacation, etc. Hopefully they’ve invested wisely so these children will have a good education and money for any counseling they may need some day.
while it pains me to say this, I’m so dissapointed with these two. I was thinking they could be the only normal ones in these kids’ lives.

Smila, you are totally right. I think the little kids may seem OK now… but this is going to totally screw them up later. Imagine their puzzlement when they find out not every kid their age has their childhood taped and aired for the world to see.
Since they’re blaming TLC now I foresee a reconcilliation with Kate down the road, if it hasn’t already happened. That’s a good thing for the kids,Jodie and hubby seem pretty grounded and OK to me. Divorce is a terrible thing for kids, especially when they’re this young.
Divorce is especially horrible when it is broadcasted all over the country!! I wonder if the twins haven’t had kids at school mention seeing they’re parents on magazine covers at the stores? There was once an episode where they showed how the kids liked watching their own show. I wonder if they are shown these new ones about J&K’s divorce? Because if they haven’t, all they have to do is watch it on you tube. Those kids are pretty fucked…

Maybe Jodi & Kevin felt that they didn’t get enough media attention when they came out guns blazin, blasting Jon & Kate a few months ago, and are trying a new tactic where it’s all TLC’s fault now.
And as a sidenote to this, I always hated Jodi’s awful shade of lipstick when she filmed on the show!

This is the second time you have said “the kids are just fine.” This is the second time I will say that you are so full of crap that it must be running out of your ears. I enjoy this site and read it every single day but when you say something totally out of your ass I must disagree.
I don’t effing care about the in-laws. I don’t effing care about Kate and Jon…or his whores. Adults do what adults do. But these children, especially Maddie, are NOT OK for Christ sake! We got to see the “real Kate” who callously denied her little one a drink of water…actually drinking from a bottle right in front of her as if to rub it in the kid’s face. No compassion. This bitch is a famewhore and needs to be ignored completely. Jon is some sort of mental defective with all my apologies to anyone who is mentally defective. TLC is effed up to put this train wreck back on the air. Anybody who contributes to this emotional abuse of these kids by watching the show is as horrible as Kate herself.
Like I said the last time the topic of how “OK” the kids were with this unnatural lifestyle thrust upon them….as best as I can tell, it is only ten more years before Maddie will be working the stipper pole because of her “Daddy issues.”
