Today's Evil Beet Gossip

I’m Just Going To Catch You Up On All The Mischa Barton Crap At Once So That We Don’t Have To Talk About Her Again … Today.

Let’s play “Guess The Drug” today.  Sadly, it’s not an embeddable clip, but click here to watch an interview from last month when Mischa Barton attended the Harrod’s Summer Sale.  Watch all the way to the end so that you don’t miss a moment of slurring, swaying or fake British accent.  When you’re done hearing Misch talk about her fashion icons and super-exclusive handbag line, return here and tell me what substance(s) she is on.  Is that a pot daze or a coke glaze?

In response to yesterday’s reports that Barton’s The Beautiful Life role was being recast, her rep has released a statement assuring the tens of concerned fans that she will be on set and ready to inhale work on July 31st.  Of course that uninsurable little cash cow will be back at work!

Friends have come forward to explain the reasons behind Misch’s hospitalization.  In an instance of terrifying irony, last year Lindsay Lohan sat down with Mischa and urged her to get help due to her addiction.  That didn’t take, and in addition, it seems that one of Barton’s biggest challenges has been poor body image.  “She had a big problem with those photos of her cellulite. … She didn’t like it.  That just was something that contributed to her spiraling but she didn’t do much to fix it because of her partying.”

Well, listen, no one really likes cellulite and cankles but that’s what wide-leg pants were made for.  Embrace them, Mischa.  Embrace them.

  • I didn’t watch the video, but I just wanted to point out that Mischa is originally from England, so it’s not a fake accent. I would think you would know that, considering you loathe every cell of her body.

    • While she IS English, to the best of my knowledge she doesn’t speak with an accent normally, so she’d be FAKING it. You can be from a certain place and not have the accent, especially if you left at a young enough age..

      • you know, that’s just not true, jennb.

my mother was born in england – moved here when she was 12… does not have an accent when she speaks. but when she is around english accents, breaks one of her own out a bit. she’s 71 now. so it’s been a while since she was there. and she obviously isn’t doing it for show or on purpose.

i hate to defend mischa – but feel i must on this topic.

      • I’m not trying to be confrontational, but how is it obvious she’s not doing to for show or on purpose?

      • well, because she would do it when sitting with her mother in our living room. alone.

and because she had no idea that she was doing it. when i was a kid, i’d tell her to stop it – “you don’t talk like that”. and she had no idea what i was talking about.

and because if you knew my mother at all, you’d know it would never even occur to her that putting on an accent would be anything to “show off”.

      • Sorry, when I read your comment initially I thought you were referring to Mischa when you said she’s not faking it. Didn’t read it to be that you were still talking about your mom. My fault there.

      • True, if Mischa had been a pre-teen when she moved to the U.S., I wouldn’t find it weird that she spoke with a hint of an accent when around other Brits. But she was only toddler when she left London. It sounds fake to me.

      • I’m not to sure about the British accent but I lived in the south (Alababma & Georgia) until I was 14. I’m 35 now & have lived in Missouri since then. Sometime when I talk to my dad on the phone (who still lives in Alabama) my husband will hear me talking & when I get off the phone he’ll say I had an accent. And I’m not trying to talk like that & I don’t even notice. So I think it’s possible her accent has come back too.

      • Ok, I know this is wierd, but I’ll often adopt the accent of the person I’m speaking to, even if I have no background history with it. It just happens… Especially if you once used that accent yourself.

  • As a far as substances, I would guess a mix of downers and coke. she is far too alert for pot and her rampant itchiness would suggest downers-as their common side effect is body itch. she almost pulls it off, its like she was bouncing off the walls and realized she had to be somewhere and took something to chill out.

  • terrible! jeez….why didn’t someone stop her doing that opening and send her straight to the priory??! she could practise her faux-english accent there to her hearts content.

on the substance question….hmm….i have to say the special k is a strong contender, mixed with some pot or vodka…

  • Oh that poor thing. She has cellulite. Time to put an end to herself, goodbye cruel world.

    Le snore.

People have it a lot worse. Suck it up ho.

  • She looks like a batty old woman (in the video)! What the hell happened! I remember seeing her in person years back and she was not that heinous looking.

  • Like the picture she is BUSY scarfing and sniffing her coke with a nice weed ciggie for a relaxing period.

  • HAHAHAHA god thats so embarrassing! Iv gotten 1:09 in and i cant watch anymore, its so obvious she’s trashed n its so embarrassing to watch! She’s such a mess, what a loser!

As an English girl i would like to say her fake accent seems ok tho! She should try her life again n just be a different person! And take off that horrid eye make-up! She looks like a lizard!

    Ps love ya Beet x

  • Ok i watched it all! HAHAHAHAHA! Actress?! Really?! First and foremost?! HAHAHAHA! Loves it! She MUST be high! hahahaha!xx

  • Straight meth addict in my opinion. Man isn’t she just prematurely aging into hell or what? I guess the accent is appropriate though cause as she comes off as a beaten down elderly British woman.

  • I’d be more convinced it was a legitimate accent if she didn’t forget to keep using it half way through the interview!

  • I vote for meth as well. that would account for the gravelly voice and the weird loopy gestures and fiddling.

  • Oxycotin for sure…without a doubt some sort of hardcore pain killer. They make a person seem both lethargic and cracky at the same time. Oh and they make you itchy!

  • I would vote for Oxycotin for sure. Opiates may you itch incessantly, and she has about the right amount of lethargy. What a dirty, disheveled mess she is in this video. I hope she makes it through all this.
