Hip-Hop star T-Pain (best known to some of you as one of the guys who’s “on a boat”) and wife Amber welcomed new son Kaydnz Koda Najm this weekend.
Proud papa T-pain posted the above picture of little Kaydnz on his Twiiter account.
Now, I’m not one of those people who thinks all babies are automatically cute. Some babies are ugly. As a non-breeder, one of my favorite games to play in the grocery store is “Spot the wizened, world-weary baby who looks like he has a ton of street smarts.” But little Kaydnz here is a seriously adorable little cutie. Look at those squishy cheeks!!
If you’re wondering how to pronounce the name, I’m guessing it’s something like “Kay-dinz.”
Since T-Pain is a practicing Muslim whose real name is Faheem Rasheed Najm, I was debating whether the unfamiliar name “Kaydnz” had some religious or cultural significance, or was just a horrible play on the word “cadence.” Then I found out the names of T-Pain’s other two children– Lyriq and Muziq. Case closed.
LOL! Case closed is right!
Wow, I didn’t even know T-Pain had kids! I only found out earlier this week that he’s 22! =/
I agree though, Kaydnz is CUTE! And I don’t think all babies are cute either…
My cousin is named Cadence, I like it for a girl. I like T-Pain using a K, but the baby’s name just looks like it is missing vowels.
And I feel the same way about not all babies are cute. As a former childrens photographer, unfortunately I see a lot of ugly babies. Hopefully they grow up to be cute!
my name is cadence! :)
Well, atleast they didn’t name the poor baby “Shithead”! And for thoseof you who think, aw that be a pretty name…. It spells Shit Head! I met a girl with that name several year ago… Then I found out that it is really not that uncommon. As is Orangejello and Lemonjello which is Orange Jello and Lemon Jello…..
um yeah you do not know little girls named shithead. and the orangejello/lemonjello thing is an urban myth
I knew a guy name Ben Dover. Not even kidding… his parents has a vicious sense of humor.
I think I knew his sister eileen :)
touche haha, touche
Actually, there was a transfer student in one of my middle school classes whose name was “Shitheed”, pronounced like “shi-TH-eed”, with an emphasis on the TH. It sounded very pretty until all us vicious little seventh-graders cottoned on to the spelling.
(Though, upon thinking about it, I think the most vicious of all would have been our social studies teacher. He was such a knob.)
That baby is so cute! Huge, but adorable!
um NO.. Its not an urban myth… We were at a resteraunt in Garland TX and our waitress’s name, which was on her name tag was “Shithead”. And there were twins that went to John Tyler High School in Tyler TX. who’s names were Orangejello and Lemonjello. So no urban myth, just fact!
The funniest ones though were white girls. They were the daughters of the man who Hogg middle school was named after.. Their name were Ima and Ura… Ima Hogg and Ura Hogg… This is the truth…. Tyler Tx,, you can probably google them..
Very cute, but obviously not as cute as my baby! There’s something a bit naff, though, about having themed names for your children, regardless of how you spell them.
I think black people come up with the most screwed up names. No wonder everyone makes fun of them!
ha i had never heard the name tpain, but i do remember the guys on the boat!
