We all knew it was just a matter of time. Now the Octomom, Nadya Suleman, and her bazillion helpless children, have landed a TV show. Except it’ll only be airing in the UK … and then they’ll see if the US is interested.
“Yes, it is official. I’m going to be doing a show, but it’s not a reality show,” Nadya tells Life & Style. “What I’m doing with this TV show is basically creating documentaries about the lives of my children. It’s going to be an ongoing thing, and it will follow them from now until they are 18. It’s being done by Eyeworks; they’re in the UK. It will air in the UK and then we’ll see if the US is interested.”
Nadya adds that the documentary style of the show won’t infringe on her family’s privacy: “The producers will come here to film six times a year. They’ll come by and take some footage and then they’ll go. They won’t be invading my life or my children’s lives.”
Plus, the filming will help this busy mom remember the important milestones for her children. “It will give me the opportunity to have incredible home movies that, believe me, I don’t have the time to make myself. Having this documentary crew allows me to focus on raising my children and still have great movies of them.”
I’m kind of confused about this only airing in the UK. You’d think the US networks would be all over this shit like sperm on Nadya Suleman’s eggs. Are they worried about the backlash from the enormous amount of people in the US who realize that this woman is batshit insane and doesn’t deserve to be compensated for bringing children into the world without the resources to take care of them? Don’t people in the UK feel the same? British readers, what’s the feeling over there about the Octomom?
I also read that she’s been trying to trademark the name “Octomom” for a line of various baby apparel and products she plans on putting out. It seems that she will stop at nothing to whore out her 15 minutes of fame. Nadya Suleman truly disturbs me. Curses to this bitch.

Well, I can’t speak for everyone in the UK, but the people I know here who are aware of her have pretty much the same opinions as the Americans I know – but with slightly less outrage, I guess because it’s not our benefits system she’s screwing.
This will probably get some interest as yet another crazy story from the land of crazy stories.

People here are freaked out but then again we hear loads of strange stories coming from the US so the whole Octomom story hasn’t caused the outrage it did back in the States. She freaks me out though, and whomever who helped her carry out the pregnancy shouldn’t be allowed to work as a doctor ever again.

As a Brit I must say that neither myself nor those I know that have heard much of this woman and care even less for her or her children. I guess we are not bothered about her as she is not in our faces as much as she is on your side of the pond.
On a personal note I cannot really understand all the anger directed towards her, I’ve only really read about her on this blog and Dlisted. I haven’t watched any of the clips and from what I gather she is just a slight maniac who wanted some children and is trying to make a few dollars from them.
Its not much different from the Lohans, Spears’, Cyrus’ and even the Jolie-Pitts who are happy enough to charge magazines the earth for images of their latest progeny.
The show format sounds a little like Seven-Up, a series that followed the lives of several people from different backgrounds and is due on our screens again in 2011 for 56-Up when we catch up with them again. It is generally regarded as being very well made and has won numerous awards over the years …… the Octomum version sounds much trashier and is unlikely to win anything.
The sad fact is that fame sells these days, even the fake version more popularly known as infamy. It’ll be another freak show that a few people with nothing better to do will watch then rapidly forget.
If the show lasts more than one year, let alone the full 18 then I, Raymond in the style of Wendie, promise to not only say nice things about Mischa Barfon(deliberate misspelling), but I will even marry her. We might even have 8 kids together.

People in the states are angry with her because she has 14 kids and no means to take care of them. She doesn’t have a job and lives with her mother, her father has to work overseas just to help take care of the family. When she couldn’t take care of her already existing 6 children, she had no business trying to have any more. It’s not about her wanting kids, or her 15 minutes, it’s about her being extremely irresponsible and not thinking of her children first.
Didn’t she just get her own house though?

Why is eveyone so intend on screwing with her. Jon and Kate plus eight USE THEIR CHILDREN as THEIR SOURCE OF INCOME…never heard of them having another job. However, I feel Nadya is doing this to FEED HER CHILDREN and NOT USE THE GOVERNMENT. Some people (as the quotes above) only see the ‘glass half full” and fail to see what others are doing to live off the government. She is being targeted just because there are so many children. If she were married, no one would say a word!

She calls it a ‘documentary’ like her family is something out of the discovery channel, thats about as true as calling the hills a ‘reality’ show.
This is not going to last until those poor kids are 18 it won’t even last a year in my opinion…it won’t go out on a mainstream channel it will go on to a digital channel that no one has heard of let alone watch…and surely it will have to go out after the watershed (9pm) because no kid will want to look at that for god knows how long an episode will be!

The bottom line with this woman is that she is not crazy – she is extremely greedy and lazy. She has a degree in child psychology and knows all the right buttons to push to get what she wants.
Her father did NOT go back to Iraq. Why should he? He is sucking off of these cash cows as much as she is. In order to avoid a lien against the house she bought, her father put it in his name. The taxpayer’s pay for her medical and she hides any income under her father’s name.
She pooped out eight unhealthy runts which will surely have medical conditions which will be a burden to the taxpayers for the rest of their lives while she has the fantasy that she is a movie star. Her children are as victimized as the taxpayers so that she can live in a fantasy world where she is a star.
The taxpayers in the U.S. are under an increadible amount of stress right now and frankly having to pay millions for this totally selfish cow has sent many of them over the edge. By the way, she sends her children to privite school because the schools in California are not good enough for her children while she begs the parents of children in public education to send her more money. I am amazed that the State has not taken the children away from her. There are so many reasons to despise this selfish cow at so many levels that it is difficult to pin down one single cause. Look at what she did to her own mother. That is what she is!!
