While totally sober Amy Winehouse continues to fuck and fucking annoy all the tourists in the Caribbean, her home in Camden was burgled. According to police, the robbers stole guitars and recording equipment and left the scene before the police arrived.
According to her rep, Amy is very upset over the theft. Of course she is; those valuables would have brought her lots of drug money, you know, when she pawned them. Looks like she was beat to the punch.
Question: why are people still talking about Amy Winehouse?
sadly, amy had nothing of value left to steal. she lost her mind and her talent quite awhile back.

I’m getting kind of tired of her dirty hive hairpiece thing. Well sort of. I mean, I have days where it’s bad, then I say my serenity prayer and I’m ok with it. But I sort of wish she’d try something new in her stage get-up.
And WHY OH WHY has she been added to the Coachella lineup? Ew. Paul McCartney – The Cure – AMY WINEHOUSE?!?!? One of these things just doesn’t beong here. Seriously.

That’s a lot of “just needs.” She hasn’t recorded in nearly two years. Her next recording has been “promised” for a year now – but she hasn’t been near a studio. She goofed off quit performing for nearly a year … then took a two-month partying vacation. She’s allegedly off drugs, but is still on alcohol and acting like an arrested-development nutjob. Her sole focus/interest has been boy-toys and Blaaake – which will be even more of a career-distracter when the divorce case hits.
I wish her well, but talent is meaningless if it’s not used. The Amy-antics newsbits have become a real bore (and must be to others: Amy-coverage has diminished hugely, outside of select gossipy sites). I’m tired of rooting for a singer who doesn’t sing, doesn’t care about her own music/talent, seems content to live on royalties, but wants attention anyway. I’m also tired of giving someone points for looking “less dead,” abusing just one substance instead of several, and tearing up a hotel and playing Scrabble half-naked (instead of, say, doing crack or assaulting someone).
She’s not an underdog: She had huge early success and opportunities that others would kill for, but needs serious psych help, and is showing contempt for the very fans who enabled her success.
If she ever comes out of retirement and resumes being an actual singer-songwriter, I’ll reconsider.
