Seventeen years in the making, Guns 'N' Roses new album, Chinese Democracy, hit the U.S. charts at #3 this week, selling a disappointing 261,000 copies. For comparison, Britney Spears' original "comeback" album, Blackout, sold 290,000 U.S. copies in its first week, despite Britney doing absolutely no publicity for it and being an overall nutcase at the time.
