I was kind of blown away by these photos of British glamour model and reality TV personality Nicola McLean launching Ultimo’s new bra line in England. Mostly because Nicola’s the mother of a two-year-old boy … and it shows. Her body is freakin’ amazing, but she still has stretch marks like crazy. She doesn’t seem to be self-conscious about it in the least, though — she’s rocking the skimpy outfits and showing off her stretchies. And obviously the company didn’t care either — they were happy to have her rep their products, stretch marks and all.

        I have lost weight… I lost 2 lbs from hurling after I saw that picture. Don’t worry, I’m checking for stretch marks… If I see any I’ll be sure to put on a speedo and go outside and pose on my car.

      • strech marks on girls should be expected, 0ver 75% of us have them on our hips and tits, we got them when we were 14 years old and had the “groth spurt” thats why runway modles have no tits or hips, its just about the only way to avoid them.

        on men, strech marks are not so common and nasty. nothing like biseps and strechmarks, he defeated the purpose of working out when he made his arms look nasty, or his hips. eww.

        but on girls and MOTHERS give me a break. try growing boobs out of no where and 15 pound pulge in ur tummy in less then a year. men should appriciate the female body, it dose things theirs never can.

    • She actually might have had it DURING the third trimester of her pregnancy… which explains the transverse incision at McBurney’s point rather than a laparoscopic scar and why they wouldn’t have been able to image it to verify that the appendix rotated counter-clockwise during pregnancy or not.

      How rare is that???

      • consider the fact she may have had the procedure done before laparoscopic surgey was routine
        or the fact she had a laparoscopic approach first and then, due to retro-caecal location of the appendix, the surgeon had to switch to a transverse incision, used instead of the classical McBurney incision, for cosmetic purposes
        or even the possibility of the procedure being done at a facility where laparoscopic surgery is not available
        or or or
        but never assume it was done during pregnancy time as the first option
        and most of all, imaging may not be THAT reliable anyway, as I read quite a deal of reports I don’t agree with
        ;)))

  • Firstly, the stretchmarks would be less obvious if she hadn’t worn trousers that were too tight beforehand, thus adding more marks to her stomach.

    Secondly, who gives a fuck? She is DOG ugly and was unheard of before she took part in a ‘celebrity’ reality show. Trust me she is not famous this side of the Atlantic

    • No, I disagree. Progress doesn’t always need a complete end result. It was considered progress because she was being used as a model despite her obvious stretch marks. No progress would have been not using her.

      Even more progress, yes, could entail us not even noticing/commenting. But I am sure that’s pretty far away. We are just commenting on something unusual, no?

  • Well, I am really skinny and have a lot of stretch marks on my stomach and breast from nursing 2 big babies. I am now divorced and about to sleep with someone new for the first time since I had my kids. And thanks to all of your comments, I think I think I’ll just keep my top on.   • Um is this news worthy? I was expecting to see a tong of stretch marks that were noticeable. I see a woman with slight stretch marks on her stomach, and underwear lines on her belly that people are confusing for being stretch marks. FACT: 85-90% of ALL WOMEN have stretch marks. This woman is a very light case being most stretch marks are far more visible than hers.

  • even though she has streatch marks she still probably a very beautiful woman and still rockin that outfit. It goes to show that stretch marks dont have to be a letdown on your selfesteem and that even celebrities get them. its called airbrush people. Katie holmes has them on her stomach but she still looks good and hallie berrie has them onher breasts but shes still a beautiful woman.   • Look, there isn’t anything wrong with this woman or this photo. Humans get stretch marks. No one asks for them. Its part of life. You can’t get a disease from looking at them or touching them. Stretch marks may change someone’s physical appearance, but it doesn’t change the person inside that body. No one on planet earth is absolutely flawless. What’s the big deal anyway? Some people have no legs or no arms, and some born with birth defects, or even disfigured for being burnt by fire. That shouldn’t make them any less of a beautiful person. My opinion to Nicola McLean, ” YOU GO GIRL, you are rocking that fit”! We need more models and celebs to do this, rather than hide it or photoshop their photos. This also encourages younger people that having flaws does not mean you can’t be fabulous, beautiful, and successful!

  • Oh my God, I found this because I was looking up celebrities who have stretchmarks. I’m pregnant and feel that I’ll never be able to go to the beach again. She’s beautiful WITH stretchmarks and I’m sure her husband has no complaints. This made me so happy!
