So, Columbia Pictures is remaking The Karate Kid ... as a star vehicle for Will Smith's progeny, Jaden.
The film will be produced by Jerry Weintraub (who launched the original franchise) and Overbrook Entertainment's James Lassiter, Will Smith and Ken Stovitz.
