Interesting, and that was the link BLA posted.
The link is working fine for me still.
Weird.
I guess they’re still working on the kinks on the site.
I’m going to protest all you people supporting anti-gay marriage Obama.
well it’s not like we had a better choice, Broncs.
And of course he would say that he is not for making same sex marriage legal for the nation. That would have cost him the election. Duh. That’s how politics work. You have to play as close to the center as possible, especially when you are running for office.
Yeah, and he also thinks that states should make their own decisions. So it’s not like he wants it to be ILLEGAL. totally different. He would have to say that, regardless of how he felt, or some states would have been shitting themselves over it.
” HOLY JESUS!! NOT ONLY WILL THE BLACKS TAKE OVER< BUT THE GAYS TOO?!?!?!?!? ARRRRGGHGHHH ”
that’s how I see it, at least. And no, I am not saying that everyone who doesn’t support gay marriage is racist…. although I feel that there is some correlation between the two.
thatlisa hit the nail on the head! i’ll be at the protest in richmond, va. anyone else?
Um…states’ rights, anyone?
The correlation between gay marriage and race is this: Obama being on the ticket caused a larger turnout in the black community. It changed the percentage of blacks to total voters from 6% in previous years to 10% in this election, in California. Those extra votes from the black community are what tipped the scale for Prop 8.
Until the gay community can convince the black and Latino communities, and not by being all up in their faces, that these are their children, brothers, sisters, friends, parents that they are voting against when they vote against gay marriage, there’s not going to be a turnaround on this. Yelling the n-word at them, telling the black community they won’t be safe in West Hollywood, threatening not to pay taxes so the black community doesn’t get their government subsidies, is not the way to win minority support.
if we dont get our fucking economy in order, it wont matter who can marry who because nobody will be able to afford the marriage license.
the first link now works, http://jointheimpact.com/protest-locations/
the second doesn’t anymore
I will be in san fran. come say hiiiiiii!
