Beverly Hills Chihuahua’s Real-Life Rescue Story

From IMDB: The canine star of new movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua was saved from certain death when Hollywood animal trainer Mike Alexander discovered him on a California animal shelter's 'doggy death row'. Rusco was set to be put down after he was found wandering the streets of Moreno Valley, and no one came to claim him. But Alexander spotted him on an online directory and decided he would be perfect for the role of Papi in the new film. He then had a race against time to save Rusco...

Bianca Golden Weighs in on Hairspray Smackdown

The ANTM alum is making her first public appearance since her family got into a kerfuffle with Hairspray plus-sizer Nikki Blonsky and her pops in an overseas airport. And where has she chosen to speak out? Why, the Tyra Banks show, of course. Golden tells Banks that Nikki's father reportedly threw a punch. "Her father... punched my mom." She added, "He knocked her out -- he hit my mom with such force she stumbled back, and when she stumbled back, the whole family got up and attacked ...

Kellie Pickler Releases New Album on Her Own Terms

Kellie Pickler released her second album this week -- a eponymous, relaxed, and occasionally humorous set of tracks where she got to take her sweet time and call her own shots. And, frankly, it's amazing. I'll be honest: I loved Kellie on AmIdol, but I wasn't a big fan of her first album. I've been listening to her sophomore effort for a couple days now, and I LOVE it. It's a fantastic country album, and she has a lot to be proud of. "It was so rushed and, honestly, now that it's out and ...

Cashing In!

She may not be on any Wheaties boxes or signing endorsement deals with credit card companies, but Alicia Sacramone is happy to show up and be herself at ... the 24-Hour Fitness in Thousand Oaks. Dude, I'm sorry, but she's so much hotter in her gymnastics get-up. She's uninteresting to me in normal-people clothes -- she falls flat somehow. I want her hair in a tight little bun and sparkles all over her face and a cutesy leotard plastered to her body. I like her much better that way. [gal...

The Simpsons Alleges Voter Fraud

Well, kind of. Check out this clip of the episode of The Simpsons -- which will air on November 2, two days before the election. In it, Homer tries repeatedly to vote for Barack Obama, but his votes are counted for John McCain. Then the voting machine kills him. Executive producer Al Jean claims the clip is not an endorsement of Obama but rather a commentary on voting system irregularities. /> Well, kind of. Senate Passes Revised $700B Bailout

More info is here. Both Presidential candidates voted yes on a revised version of the $700B bailout rejected by the House earlier in the week. The new Senate legislation now includes a number of new provisions aimed at Main Street, hoping to win the votes of House reps who don't want to be seen as bailing out the rich fat cats on Wall Street while small-town America still can't pay its mortgage. The House votes on Friday. />More info is here. Both Presidential candidates voted yes on a revised version of the $700B bailout rejected by the House earlier in the week.
