The creator of Passions, James E. Reilly, passed away this weekend while recovering from cardiac surgery. He was 60.
I don't think anyone can deny that this man was a force of nature. Passions is the only soap I ever watched, because the sheer insanity of the plot lines went beyond the traditional soap-opera tripe and into a realm of such absurdity it can only be described as genius.
Rest in peace, Mr. Reilly.
