“As far as I’m concerned, we’ve got to keep this guy out of the White House.”
Actor Robert Duvall, at a $1500/plate Republican fundraiser, about Barack Obama. Sarah Palin made an appearance at the event.
See?
Not everyone in Hollywood is liberal.
Chuck Norris is openly conservative too.
Not everyone in Hollywood ages like Paul Newman either, apparently.
ew.
just the ones whose FACES are still attached, i guess.
Finally, after weeks of “I Love Obama” segments on this “Celebrity Gossip” site; you finally post something for McCain…or did you! You just love the fact that Duvall said “this guy”; hoping that others would infer something else. Go back to reporting on the shallow lives of celebrates.
holy liver spots, batman.
This guy sat next to my husband and me at a restaurant in Sun Valley–he had the loudest, dirtiest mouth and was crass to the female server. ICK. Made me nauseous.
Typical dirty old guy Repulican.
Interesting that he is a Conservative considering he did that movie with James Earl Jones “A Family Thing”. I rather enjoyed that film. Shame it was just another role and he secretly is a racist redneck after all.
out of the “white” house.. heh.. :P
To KB: Too right. Newman would have voted for Obama, no doubt. RIP.
@wesD
easy cowboy! Last time I checked Beet was not under any obligation to provide equal/balanced cover on both candidates?. If you don’t like the “I love Obama” posts, well just don’t read them, the big bold titles normally give you a clue. You can always go back to Fox news for ” I love McCain” news can’t you?
oh thank you for coming out of the “closet” mr Duvall!!.. you are my new hero!..
He’s a 117 year old actor. He probably owned slaves back in the day.. who gives a fuck about his political opinion? When I need to cast an old, liver spotted guy in my next film, I’ll give him a call
LOL @ me!! I agree, how does this old rich guy adaquately represent american society? Oh look – that applies to the current president and republican candidate too!
Atta Boy Bobby!
Well, now it’ finally confirmed that Donkey Punch is mentally disabled, ready to call any that doesn’t support Obama a “racist redneck”. Brilliant. I think it’s quite simple why Duvall doesn’t support Obama — he doesn’t want to get bent over by the IRS every April anymore than he currently is. Plus, unlike most Hollywood celebrities, he has an IQ above 70, and isn’t deciding to vote for a certain candidate because it’s hip.
