Today's Evil Beet Gossip

Supporting the Sister-in-Law!

Well look who showed up front and center at the Charlotte Ronson show at NY fashion week! Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, of course! The couple created quite the media frenzy, distracting the paps from anyone else present, much to the dismay of model Jessica Stam, Gossip Girl's Jessica Szohr, and, um, Waldo, who also attended. Ya know, they might not have called People magazine to give them the exclusive just yet, but I think these two are way over hiding their relationship. They...

Hooray!!! Fashion Rocks Dresses!!

Yay, it's that time of year again ... the Conde Nast Fashion Rocks event in NYC! This event always brings out some amazing and original looks, and I always look forward to looking through the photos. To be honest, I've been through all the pics, and there are really no huge losers, IMHO. Nobody looks just godawful, but maybe you guys will disagree with me. I think my favorite look is Hilary Swank's look here. I think it's just perfect. More pics below, including Beyonce, Hayden Pane...

A Good Mother Always Writes a Tell-All

Aw, how sweet. Lynne Spears and Alec Baldwin aren't the only Hollywood parents airing their family's dirty laundry in an upcoming book. Leighton Meester's mother is apparently shopping a book about what a train wreck her family was back when Leighton was born. The book will reportedly tell Connie's life journey from drug ring co-conspirator to suburban real estate agent to author and, of course, to the rearing of her TV star child. After an FBI bust in 1985, Connie began serving o...

Frailty, Thy Name Is Phelps!!!

Oh Mikey!!!! I told you I was flying out to Vegas to be with you TONIGHT! But you couldn't wait that long, could you? And do you know how I found these pictures?? Do you know??? From a commenter named "anon69"!!! Was that you, Michael? Was that your idea of a fucking joke? NOT FUNNY, ASSHOLE. Sigh. Radar got these pics of Mikey at The Playboy Club in The Palms last night. "It was unreal," says the photographer. "Within moments of entering the club he summoned two girls...

Let’s Take a Moment to Talk About Nick Jonas, Shall We?

So there's a story on People.com today about how Selena Gomez wrote one of the tracks on her upcoming album about current beau Nick Jonas. "It's about a boy I kind of fell for, but he couldn't let his ex-girlfriend go, and it was really difficult ... The song is basically me saying that I'm sorry that it didn't work out or that she used to be who she was. But you have to let me in and you have to know that I'll do everything I can to make you happy and be the best I can be," says Selena. Mean...

Look Who’s Sitting Front Row at NY Fashion Week!

It's total hottie/average gymnast Alicia Sacramone, hanging out with the likes of Leigh Lezark and Jamie-Lynn Sigler at the BCBG Max Azria show. WTF? I like how she's studying the handouts and the models, like she's forming very valuable opinions about the clothing, which she will then relay to Anna Wintour, who trusts her above all others. I kinda think she looks way hotter in her gymnastics uniform/makeup than she does here. In a formal setting, she kind of pales in comparison t...

I Hate That I Love Paris Hilton’s Dress Here

But I do. I think it's just adorable and perfect and I want it. I love the cut and the lines and the belt and the color and the fabric and everything. Love it love it love it. Anybody know who makes this? What I don't want? Is her lipstick. Looks terrible. Here's Paris at the launch party for Nylon magazine's new TV issue last night. She was partying sans Benji -- with a couple of girlfriends -- but apparently spent a good portion of the night talking about how much she missed h...

Alec Baldwin Wrote a Tell-All, Was Once Suicidal

So Alec Baldwin's got this new tell-all coming out, titled A Promise to Ourselves: A Journey Through Fatherhood and Divorce and a source who's read an advance copy says that Alec talks in detail about contemplating suicide after his cruel voicemail to his 11-year-old daughter leaked to the press. “He writes about how he was serious about suicide. He definitely put a lot of thought into the different ways he could accomplish it," says the source. Eventually, Alec writes that he decid...

Crazy Statistics

Did you guys know that nearly 2 out of every 3 people in the world caught at least some of the televised Beijing Olympics? Additionally, 94% of the Chinese population tuned in at some point. I knew Evil Beet should have offered to sponsor the Olympics this year. I had a feeling they were going to be big, but my boss was like, "No, no, that's a waste of money. No one'll watch it. We're saving up to sponsor Lindsay Lohan's next birthday." I never should have listened. ...

Shut Up, Microsoft

Hey, you know that Microsoft commercial that they reportedly paid Jerry Seinfeld $10M to be in? It's about shoes. And it's stupid. Like Microsoft. I am LOVING my Mac, you guys. Soooo much better than my PCs with Windows. Like, head and shoulders above. But, anyway, if you wanna hear Microsoft's side of the story:
So what’s the deal? In an email we’ve obtained from Microsoft SVP Bill Veghte to all employees, he talks about the goals of the campaign. The overall goal is to inspire consumers and “tell the story of how Windows enables a billion people around the globe to do more with their lives today.” This first phase, he says, “is designed to engage consumers and spark a new conversation about Windows – a conversation that will evolve as the campaign progresses, but will always be marked by humor and humanity.” The ads are just an icebreaker, he ads, to reintroduce Microsoft to consumers. Later this month they’ll do a deeper dive, which I assume means talking about features.
I still think Microsoft sucks (reminder: Vista crashed on me FOUR TIMES the first -- and only! -- night I used it) and I love my Mac. /> Hey, you know that Microsoft commercial that they reportedly paid Jerry Seinfeld $10M to be in?
