To be fair, the overwhelming majority of posts on there are very supportive of Clay, which is good to see. Some people even talk about how they struggled with the news at first and then decided to accept it and still love him, which is even better to see.
Most importantly, I’d like you guys to spend some time on that board and notice how their moderator edits EVERY FUCKING COMMENT. Talk about freakishly controlling. I’m vicariously annoyed for them. So the next time you want to yell at me about moderating comments, please keep in mind that I have never gone into your comment, deleted the first half, and left a cheery little note about why. It’s not that I can’t, it’s that I never, ever have, because doing so is insane.

HA HA HA HA HA!!! You might not believe it, but I had just sat down to email you about that very quote! They published it in the News & Observer, out of Raleigh, North Carolina, in a second page article (with a front page picture). It seriously cracked me up and the author, a local N&O staff member, seemed amused too. They even mentioned that some fan sites “promised to stop supporting the singer after he started a nontraditional family,” which was well before he announced his orientation.
Some people are effing blind, yo. So who will be the next target? Oh please oh please let one of the Jonas brothers be gay…
As much as I love snarky fun, I find myself feeling sorry for the Claymates. Most people have NO IDEA how many lonely souls there are in the world, and for some women, this guy was the fantasy boyfriend who would never reject them…and then he turns up gay instead. It’s sort of heartbreaking.
Having said that, I still find it absolutely amazing that anyone considers this a revelation. Loneliness must break the gaydar.

Whatever, the people who are “shocked and saddened” by this “news” are living in a fantasy world. Anyone with common sense knew Clay was gay.
The most annoying thing to me is how many people do not know the difference between your and you’re. I think that is my biggest pet peeve it makes me insane with anger……. no one speaks/writes in english anymore!
When i saw this on the stands, i thought ‘like that’s news’, not in speculation, but seriously. He’s been interviewed and cornered on film over 2 years ago and everyone took notice then. Even Kathy Griffin took a big part of her shows dedicated to telling about her encounters with him.
Then, his publicist issued a statement to make people back off because his album was coming out.
This is seriously not news if you interpreted what was not being said.
