All My Sons — her big Broadway debut — began its preview run on Thursday night, but Katie Holmes showed no sign of nerves, smiling as she carried little Suri around the streets of Manhattan.
Tom was with Katie at the Gerald Schoenfeld theater Thursday night to support her in her big debut.
We should (hopefully!) start seeing reviews of Katie performance early Friday morning.

What have they done to happy go lucky Suri? Compare her to Violet or any other star’s child photographed?.. This is embrassment and fear of doing something wrong in public taught to her by the too selfish parents. OH HOW I hate Tom! Stupid, egotistic Katie has sacrificed her child’s happiness and carefree life for the love of money and fame.
Beebeec – you seriously get all of that from this picture?? Could it be that she is simply shy. I think it’s a stretch to hit the parents that hard because of a couple pics of a kid tucking her head into her mother for crying out loud. Please tell me you don’t judge all parents that harshly and this is just a personal thing with Katie and Tom. I can’t imagine what all you could read into my child’s tantrum at a grocery store…

Suri is just acting like a normal kid, as far as I can see. All kids have times when they feel like ignoring the outside world and tucking themselves away into their mum’s arms. The Cruises have a crazy religion, but I think that’s the only abuse they inflict on the kids.
That kid smiles as much as Jessica Alba. Freaking child abuse.
I love little Suri. If you have/or know children, they all go through shy phases. I admire Kate for not allowing the paparazzi to prevent her from a normal life, i.e., walking around the city, taking Suri to the park, etc.
I really don’t understand why Katie’s every outfit and every move on the street is scrutinized, here and elsewhere.
I won’t say anything abt Suri because it might be just who she is but honestly – when I saw Kate for a first time in this picture I thought she was either a midaged lady or an awkward man. Not a good style for someone as young as her. Btw Tom was so strange in Tropic thunder and YES the movie was AWFUL!
