If I went based on that opening line I wouldn’t really feel awfully sorry for her in this situation, but certainly would for any unfortunate egg that got fertilized in her…they never stood a chance. Take a bit more responsibility and avoid dick like the plague. Safer for all concerned…..
Now, circumstances beyond the choice to have sex without sufficient protection is one thing…rape, etc., another….failed birth control as well…but if it’s a case of not being ready for parenthood..well, the only sure thing is no THING, ya know?
It’s kind of interesting although choppy and hard to comprehend in certain areas. I’ll keep watch for a bit though, it’s an interesting twist to the blogosphere.

Umm not sure I get it, I didn’t read much though but if she’s having an abortion when is she gonna go get it? Do you have to wait to a certain month? I though abortions are just more costly and dangerous as time goes on? Why is bothering being pregnant at all just to abort it? Is she just staying pregnant long enough to get a following on her blog? Clearly I don’t know a lot about abortions so feel free to not answer in an a-holeish way.

You seem quite angry, number 1, and second, maybe she blogs about it because she doesn’t have anyone in “the real life” to talk to her about it. I’m sure shes scared and feeling very lonely and as she said on her blog, she looked up blogs about abortion and found very little, so she felt that maybe she could help someone who was making a similar choice in the future. I do understand you believe it should be kept personal but I don’t think she just wanted to keep her mouth shut and move on, its really not that easy.

Regardless of attitudes towards abortion using it as birth control totally screws your body up. Not necessarily your mind. Your body. Which has more control over your mind than you think it might. I have a new puppy, and, well, it just doesn’t fit with my busy life. I was so excited when he wandered up to the house, but now he craps all over my floor while I’m at work and out on the town at night. I am left with no choice but to terminate the puppy. What do you peeps think, should I:
A) Feed it antifreeze – $8 at walmart but no blood – yeah!
B) Stab it in the heart – $0 free but bloody, ew, gross!
Anyone know another way to kill a puppy that doesn’t require money and isn’t messy?

Interesting blog… I will keep watch on it. Im not sure I care for her structuring/bluntness but maybe thats just her writing style. Im thinking if she is weighing her abortion options maybe that is what the hold up may be.. but Id get going on it. No way would I have an abortion after 10 weeks anymore.. not knowing what I know now.

There can be accident with birth control, and no form is 100% affective to start with. This girl seems to think she isn’t ready to bring a child into the world, and who is anyone else to judge? Would you prefer she had a kid and give it a shitty life? Since not much is elaborated on about her situation, it seems hard to judge her from a moral standpoint.
As for the blog, it seems to be an honest look at what it is like to go through an abortion, and I don’t see why anyone would take great offense to that. If you are strongly anti-abortion, don’t read it, but if it makes her feel better, and helps others in her situation, then what’s the harm?

Says who? Not everyone who aborts feels remorse. It’s not my thing but I don’t stand in anyone’s way who makes that decision.
This blog is an important undertaking. If we don’t discuss controversial issues like abortion out in the open, then young women in the same situation will have nowhere to look for information to help them make their decision.
As she outlines in her blog (to answer a few questions) she can either take a few pills which is effective until the 7th or 8th week. If that fails she would go the surgical route, but you have to wait until the 8th week or so or it may fail (I forget when exactly).
