Today's Evil Beet Gossip

They Did It!!!!

The big story right now is, of course, Michael Phelps, who took home his eighth and final gold medal at the 2008 Olympics this evening — in world-record style, of course — but this last win belongs to all four men on the USA men’s relay team: Brendan Hansen, Aaron Peirson, Jason Lezak and Michael Phelps. And, just like in the last relay, it was Jason Lezak who was the real superstar, anchoring what he started as a tight race and ending with a definitive lead.

So, for the last image of this Phelps insanity, we’re forgoing the hot pube bones and celebrating all four of these men and their achievement.

GO TEAM USA!

Don’t worry, though, there are sexy pics of Phelps in the thumbnails below. The sexiest may be the one where he reaches up in the stands to hug his mom and his sisters. Look how cute:

You know what’s missing in that picture? A girlfriend. I have edited this photo so that it more accurately reflects what you will see at the 2012 Games in London. See?

I have also created several photos that indicate what will happen later that night in 2012, but I can’t run them because my employer has all these silly rules about hard naked cocks and how they can’t be on this website. It’s very tragic because the pictures I have created are awesome.

Anyway.

CONGRATULATIONS, BOYS!!! You did our country proud.

  • I happy the US swim team made us all proud, but this guy you are fixated on seem more than fixated on himself. He is physically fit, but oddly put together and looks more cloddy than sexy. I bet he smells like tuna fish.

  • Thank god. I’m so sick of hearing about this giant headed swimmer. Seriously, every time I hear him giving an interview I can’t help but laugh at how dumb he sounds.
Thank god we won’t have to hear about him for another 4 years since nobody gives two shits about swimming unless it’s an Olympic year.

  • I totally thought you where in Beijing. You have mad photoshop skills girl, you should be out there retouching Dana Cook’s face. Maybe he’ll shut the fuck up.

  • I’m really glad for Phelps, but the truth is that the true winner was Milorad Cavic, who came in second, but if you find the pics of the race, it’s obvious he touched the edge of the pool first. It’s sad that he’s a victim of the society that put a lot of money into phelps’ victory. Michael is indeed a great swimmer, but the golden medal belongs to Cavic, who shouldn’t pay for someone else’s second place.

  • Phelps for the win
ok for the teeth and ears, they can get corrected if he wants it
    ok for the long torso
    wide arms
    shorter legs (proportionately)
the physique that makes him apt to be a great swimmer
the ensemble and the stamina are all we need
and he’s the winner, no matter how many speculate he is not
    wish him all the best
    gay or not
    homely or not
    dumb or not
one of the greatest athletes of all times!
    no doubt about that

  • oh, and bless the mother and sisters
I am pretty sure living in a female environment
has helped a lot in creating this legend
    LOL

  • You know what I find amazing? (Apart from the fact that I would love to make his every secret fantasy come true.) How he performed under pressure. I mean the physical accomplishment is incredible, and if he’d chalked up those times all by himself in a pool in practice, that would still be phenomenal. But the pressure he must have felt – from himself, his supporters, his rivals – must have been just staggering. And he bore up under it so well, he made it look easy.

I’m sure he has ex-girlfriends who don’t like him. Honestly, that drool-worthy body aside, there’s no reason to think he’d really be a good boyfriend. But his grace under pressure is astonishing. And so different from the swaggering of the clown who won the 100-meter running sprint, who started clowning and gloating before he’d even crossed the finish line. His teammates clearly like and respect him, and busted their asses to help him set this record, which also speaks really well of Michael’s character.

  • kristina, at the end of the pool lane where they touch is an electronic sensor- so the winner is not judged by sight, but by who actually touches the wall first. (it’s okay, i didn’t know this either til a week ago, when my daughter explained it to me. . .)

  • Those black squares are the electronic sensors. I find sport where it is timed so much more enjoyable – sports such as gymnastics or figure skating where they are judged sometimes gets unfair.

  • Beet, you are hilarious. I don’t really think Michael Phelps is that attractive, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

  • NSFW, link has GRAPHIC IMAGES of the Georgian war. You have been warned!! Photos take a long time to load.

Notice the photo of the American made weapon that the Georgians are using.

Your neo-cons continue to spread war around the world even though they have bitten off more than they can chew in the Middle East. Is your debt not large enough?

  • well Donkey
I know the Russians are not better than that
    far from it
    but that’s for the warblog
did you know the USA swimsuit is created and made in my country?

  • Donkey Punch-I hate America for the most part, not going to lie but I do think that the one time we should root is the Olympics, the athletes work sooo hard, in all countries, yours and mine. Shit, I’d move to Canada too. I would much rather have universal health care and such. I get where your going but man, we know our countries fucked up, can’t you atleast give us the Olympics? hah

  • ok ok ok
I am allowed to post this?
We helped make you champions, anyway
and I have read the word Speedo quite a few times in this blog

“No, it’s not a joke. A company in Portugal, which boasts some big-name sports and fashion brands as its clientele, has developed a proprietary technique to make garments that don’t need to be sewn.

They’re “glued” together at the seam, instead.”

This technology, developed up north in my country, is allowing athletes to perform at their best
so I guess this team, from my country, deserves applause for their achievement
interestingly they are also working for those very expensive italian fashion designers everyone knows about, such as Armani and Prada, which won’t benefit greatly from publicity anymore

  • this made the news in 2005
    so it’s old news
but I think people should know, anyway
they are now working on the new generation of garments for forthcoming events
even Phelps left them an autographed thank you pic

  • i was going crazy during that race. thank god they won! im so happy for all of them! and i totally want to “butter his fly” too. (:

  • Are you guys really talking about the war in Georgia on my gossip blog? Let’s talk about my awesome Photoshop skillz instead. Oh, and the cereal was Honey Bunches of Oats.

  • finally the cereal beet! i’ve been waiting. well, it could have been worse! keep up the good work.

mamba, what is your country, portugal? regardless, kudos to you and your countrymen!

  • Nice pic… and I applaud your … um … enthusiasm about your future … well … Boyfriend, sex slave, etc. hehehe…. and btw, I love this thing you got going on here… my new home to feed my celebrity smut talk fixation. Keep up the good work!

  • Sorry Beet.

What exactly is that Phelps guy grabbing in the photo?

I would photoshop something phallic into the pic but I couldn’t post it here.

  • I didn’t come to this celebrity blog to read about boring wars. Blah blah blah.

Mamba, your country rocks for doing awesome things to swimsuits and fashion. I actually did know about that since earlier this year. Go Portugal!

Although I felt really bad for the Portuguese guy who got lapped by the Ethiopians and Kenyans in one of the long distance races.

  • Sorry that people being killed by your country is boring you Asta.

    America #1!!!

    That better now?

  • maybe we just should feel lucky to be who we are and where we are
and try our best to make sense out of our lives
